Decades of History and Help
High Top Ranch School is the only program in the country to specialize in residential treatment for boys ages 9 to 14. Located on 200 acres in the south-central Utah mountain country of Koosharem, this working cattle and horse ranch has been in the Sorenson family for three generations.
Started as a summer school and recreational program by the family in 1958, High Top Ranch has grown into a respected independent school and treatment center.
The Koosharem Valley is home to half a dozen streams, abundant wildlife, and towering mountain peaks. It is the perfect location for the hiking, camping, horseback riding, and biking featured at High Top Ranch.
What We Do
By helping our students understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect themselves and others, we help them stop their destructive behaviors.
We believe that by taking responsibility for their life and choices, students can rediscover their strengths and talents.
Each student get's individual coaching, encouragement, and support as they work to develop a positive self concept and learn to hope, dream, and work toward a happy, meaningful, and successful life.
